The Spec Template List is the searchable library of reusable work item templates.
The list shows:
The default sort places Spec ID in descending order unless the user changes the list sorting.
Use search to find templates by ID, description, division name, grouping, or related indexed fields.
Search by a practical construction term first, such as roofing, window, electrical, ramp, siding, plumbing, or paint.
If the search result is too broad, search by division name or group.
Click a template row to open the detail page.
Use the detail page when you need to review the full rich-text detail, cost defaults, unit, permit flag, or instructional spec flag.
Use Add Spec Template when the agency needs a new reusable item in the library.
Before adding a new template, search for similar wording. If a template already exists, update it when appropriate rather than creating a near-duplicate.
Keep template descriptions short enough to scan in the list, but specific enough that staff can tell whether the template applies.
