Spec Templates are reusable scope items that help Rehab Specialists build consistent Work Plans without retyping common construction specifications.

In the CDM codebase these records are called Master Specs. In the user interface and Help Center, they are called Spec Templates.

What a Spec Template Does

A Spec Template can provide defaults for a Work Plan item, including:

• Description
• Detail / memo text
• Division number
• Division name
• Unit
• Cost per unit
• Base rate
• Instructional spec flag
• Template link back to the original Spec Template

When a template is added to a new Work Plan, CDM creates a draft work item from the template values. The Rehab Specialist can then adjust quantities, costs, detail text, or other item-specific values before saving the Work Plan.
