Bids capture contractor pricing for the work items in a work plan. They allow staff to compare contractor responses, document dates, and connect accepted bid amounts back to work items.

Before Recording Bids

Confirm:

• Work items are complete enough for contractors to price.
• Instructional specs are marked correctly and should not receive bid amounts.
• The contractor exists in CDM.
• Bid request documents have been sent or are ready to send.
• Any required bid due date or contact information is known.

Creating A Bid

Open Bids from the work plan and create a new bid.

Select the contractor.

Enter:

• Date Sent
• Date Received
• Contractor bid amount for each priced work item

Instructional specs appear as instructional and do not require bid amounts.

One Bid Per Contractor Per Work Plan

CDM prevents duplicate bid records for the same contractor on the same work plan.

If a contractor submits a revised bid, update the existing bid record instead of creating a duplicate contractor bid.
