Copying from a previous work plan is useful when an earlier scope is a good starting point, but it must be reviewed carefully. CDM intentionally avoids copying job-specific financial and assignment information.

When To Copy From A Previous Plan

Use Previous Plan when:

• A similar job has already been scoped.
• A phased project needs similar language from an earlier phase.
• A property has multiple related work plans with overlapping scope.
• You want to save time drafting descriptions and detailed scope language.

Do not use copying as a substitute for a current inspection or property-specific review.

Selecting A Previous Plan

From the new Work Plan builder, open Previous Plan.

Search for the plan by client, property, loan, or work plan name.

Select the previous plan and review the available work items.

Select only the items that make sense for the new job.

What CDM Copies

CDM copies scope-oriented information such as:

• Description
• Detailed scope or memo text
• Spec division
• Unit type
• Grouping
