Contractor records connect directly to rehabilitation operations in CDM.

A contractor may appear in bids, awarded work items, work plans, contractor payment requests, contractor payments, and reports.

Bids

When recording bids, staff select contractors from the contractor list.

Before inviting or recording a bid, confirm:

• The contractor is not duplicated.
• Contractor status allows participation.
• Insurance, license, and certification dates are current or reviewed.
• Specialty and service area match the work.
• Required documents are uploaded.

Work Items and Awarded Work

Work items can reference a contractor and subcontractor.

Awarded contractors appear in work plan summaries and help staff understand which contractor is responsible for specific work.

Do not change historical contractor assignments casually. If a work item was assigned in error, correct the work item and document the reason according to agency policy.

Contractor Payments

Contractor Payments use contractor records to identify who is being paid for awarded work.

Before creating or approving a contractor payment, review:

• Contractor status.
• Retainage percentage.
• Current insurance and license information.
