Contractor Status communicates whether the contractor is approved, limited, inactive, probationary, suspended, or debarred.
Statuses affect staff judgment when inviting bids, awarding work, reviewing compliance, and approving payments.
CDM supports these contractor statuses:
Use this for contractors approved for normal work without a known restriction.
Staff should still review insurance, licenses, certifications, and documents before awarding work.
Use this for contractors approved with restrictions.
Examples may include limited work type, limited dollar amount, limited service area, or temporary agency conditions.
Use notes or remarks to describe the limitation.
Use this for contractors that remain in the historical list but should not be treated as currently available.
Inactive contractors may still appear in historical bids, work items, reports, or payments.
