Purpose

Bid Items are the Work Plan lines that receive contractor prices. The Bid detail page shows each work item with the agency estimate and a contractor bid amount field.

What Staff See

For each eligible work item, staff can review:

• Work item number or description.
• Estimated amount.
• Contractor bid amount.

Instructional specification lines are visible but marked as instructional and do not include a price entry field.

Total Bid

CDM totals the entered bid amounts across priced work items. The total shown for the bid is based on the non-instructional bid item amounts.

Use the total as a data entry check against the contractor's submitted bid sheet.

Entering Contractor Prices

When entering prices:

1. Work from the contractor's submitted bid sheet.
2. Enter each work item price in the matching line.
3. Leave instructional lines alone.
4. Use zero only when the contractor intentionally bid zero for a priced line.
5. Save and compare the total to the submitted total.
